Bandie

Bandie is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band consists of Brian Hill (vocals, guitar), Kristian Riley (guitar), Lorenzo Alvarez (guitar), Andrew Summers (bass), and Kyle Ellings (drums).

In 2019, Bandie released their debut EP on Kristian Riley’s then-upstart label, Yardlights Records. The EP was produced and engineered by Riley—formerly the guitarist for chart-topping band Citizen King and an engineer who has worked with Silversun Pickups and many others—at Canyon Hut Studio. It was mixed by garage-rock production legend Doug Boehm and mastered by Riley’s former Citizen King bandmate, Dave Cooley, at Elysian Masters.

The band’s momentum slowed in 2020 due to the pandemic, though Riley and Hill continued writing and developing new material. In 2022, Riley built Yardlights Studio as a dedicated space for recording and mixing, allowing Bandie to refocus and accelerate work on new music. This period culminated in the completion of the band’s full-length debut album. The band would release 5 singles leading up to the release of the album.

On August 20, 2024, Bandie released the first single from the album, Minute,” featuring guest vocalist Devyn Sawyer, a friend and former student of Riley’s from Los Angeles production school Icon Collective. The band followed with Figured Out later in 2024 and Undone in 2025. Additional singles included the upbeat garage-punk track Empty released in July and the gazey indie-rock song So Long released in November.

Bandie’s full-length debut LP, “Slow Down,” was released on January 31, 2026.
